Shady Vent’s Superior Construction Methods
Shady Vent takes pride in manufacturing and installing canopies. We use the best materials available. All of our structures are primed with red oxide, alkyd structural primer that is rust inhibitive primer to bombard the dangers of the elements of nature. All our structure is wide flange I- beams and not joist. Our columns are either square, rectangle, round pipe, or fashioned ornamental.
The decking is either 24 gauge or 20 gauge galvanize or galvalume 3”x16” wide. C- clamps are used to fasten the decking onto the purlin beams. We drain our canopies from perimeter gutter, through PVC pipe inserted into the columns. The PVC is turned out from the column just above the bottom base plate.
Our fascia systems are connected onto 1 ½” x 1 ½ x 16 gauge galvanized outrigger system. Our outriggers are connected onto the decking and every other one, connected onto the I-beams.
